Exclusive Interview – Rarewaves King’s Award for Enterprise

Category: Brands

Rarewaves.com, the leading online marketplace retailer, has been honoured with the first ever King’s Award for Enterprise, recognising their ongoing excellence and growth in international trade. This is an truly amazing achievement as it adds to the Queen’s Award for Enterprise that Rarewaves were awarded in 2018.

This award means that having demonstrated exceptional growth up to 2018, Rarewaves have demonstrated significant growth through the pandemic years and beyond and are still one of the UK’s top growth exporters leading the way in international trade.

Today we publish an exclusive interview with Josh Aspess, Business Development Director at Rarewaves.com to discover how the company maintained it’s stellar growth through the past few turbulent years.

The King’s Awards for Enterprise are highly competitive and awarded to businesses for outstanding achievement in four categories including International Trade, Innovation, Sustainable Development and Promoting Opportunity, which recognises businesses that promote social mobility in their local community.

The King’s Award for Enterprise marks an incredible six years for Rarewaves.com, which saw their growth in international revenues increase by 377%. Rarewaves was started in 2005 to sell music and DVDs on marketplaces like Amazon & eBay. It has grown to a multi-national company with offices in the UK, USA, and Australia. Music and DVD remain an important part of the business with over 1 million vinyl albums sold last year.

Winning this award for the second time is a special reward for all the hard work Rarewaves’ great staff put in to taking great British products and exporting them worldwide. A special thank you to all our stakeholders who work tirelessly in the background to provide Rarewaves with such a great platform for success.

– Brad Aspess MBE, Chairman, Rarewaves

We’re incredibly proud to be honoured with this award for a second time. We will continue to proudly fly the flag for British businesses for another 5 years.

Rob Evans, Managing Director, Rarewaves
