Invoice by Amazon is a relatively new programme to the UK and saves businesses costs otherwise incurred for approving, onboarding and maintaining multiple suppliers for purchases on Amazon Business. When sellers on the marketplace join Invoice by Amazon, offers become eligible to be bought and instantly re-sold by Amazon to business customers.
Business customers, especially large companies, prefer to buy products from a single supplier because it simplifies their accounting and reconciliation process.
When a customer places an order, Amazon becomes the invoice issuer, or a “single supplier”, which helps you to generate more sales from large business customers.
For business buyers, Invoice by Amazon enables them to order millions of products sourced from thousands of sellers on Amazon Business, with single supplier experience. For eligible products, the business will then receive all invoices from Amazon Business EU Sarl with one consistent supplier tax registration number per delivery country. This avoids the requirement to manage third party sellers in their procurement system which can help to simplify the accounts payable processes.
Consistent supplier tax details and VAT rates mean there is no need to worry about manually adjusting purchase orders to match invoices.
There will be no selection impact for items without a single supplier invoicing experience. Restricting items without a single supplier invoicing experience still enables employees to purchase items, but provides a warning when doing so. Selection will only be reduced for items with the single supplier experience.

For Business Buyers
Business buyers can add this feature to your account by navigating to business settings. The buying policies & approvals tab will enable a new policy to be added. Select restrict products not sold by Amazon or block products not sold by Amazon within the product policies tab.
For Sellers
For sellers on the Amazon marketplace, the only real difference for you is that you need to sign up for Amazon Business and products sold under the Invoice by Amazon programme will mean Amazon is your customer rather than the end business customer. To enable Invoice by Amazon, go to Value Added Tax (VAT) calculation settings.
