Pinterest is announcing today that Beth Horn has been appointed as UK Managing Director. Based in London, Beth will report to VP, Head of EMEA Sales, Milka Privodanova.
This is especially exciting as Pinterest’s investments in AI and shoppability start to pay off. There’s a renewed focus at Pinterest with the bottom of the funnel getting a lot of attention and it’s converting Pinterest boards into clicks to brand websites and purchases.
Beth Horn will be responsible for leading Pinterest’s sales strategy and execution in the UK. This includes leading the team and supporting relationships with advertisers to maximise the valuable ways they can uniquely reach an engaged and commercially-minded audience on the platform. She joins Pinterest from Spotify, where, as Director of Sales, she looked after retail, beauty, travel, tech, mobility, and dating partnerships. Prior to that she spent 12 years at Meta, as Director and Head of Industry for Retail & Ecommerce, overseeing Meta’s relationships with retail and ecommerce companies in the US and UK.
This is a new era for Pinterest as we transform the platform for an unbeatable shopping experience and strive to be the industry’s ultimate full-funnel solution. Beth, a proven leader with experience of building high performing teams to deliver outstanding results for clients, is ideally positioned to help us tell this story and continue to scale our growing business in the UK.
– Milka Privodanova, VP, Head of EMEA Sales, Pinterest
I am thrilled to join and lead the Pinterest UK sales team at this exciting moment, taking our positive corner of the internet and helping to drive full funnel results for the clients and partners we serve.
– Beth Horn, Managing Director, UK, Pinterest
Pinterest is a visual inspiration platform where 518 million people around the world come each month to search, save, and shop the best ideas in the world for all of life’s moments.
Pinterest has a growing, passionate user base across the UK and there is an opportunity for brands to connect with this audience when they’re considering what to do or buy. In the last year, clicks and saves of shoppable Pins in the UK increased by 75%.
Businesses can engage with customers who are planning what to buy next with 83% of weekly Pinners saying they made a purchase based on content they saw from brands on Pinterest (GfK, Pinterest Path to Purchase Study among Weekly Pinners who use Pinterest in the Category).
Under Beth’s leadership, Pinterest’s team in the UK will further help local brands reach their target audiences and inspire consumers.
Beth Horn will join Pinterest on June 24th.
