Merchants were notified of the 2024 Fulfilment by Amazon fulfilment fee changes in December, however after careful consideration Amazon say that they will update the timing of the following fees to give you more time to prepare.

The revised dates for the 2024 FBA Fee changes are:

  • Pan-EU oversize Surcharge – September 1, 2024
  • Returns Processing Fee – January 1, 2024

FBA Fee changes

Pan-EU oversize surcharge

The Pan-EU oversize surcharge will be updated starting September 1, 2024 (instead of July 1, 2024). The surcharge will no longer apply for the France, Italy, and Spain stores if the country in which you ship your inventory to Amazon is the same country in which your inventory is sold. The surcharge will apply for the Germany store if the country in which you ship your inventory to Amazon is different from the country in which your inventory is sold. For more information, go to 2024 Pan-EU oversize surcharge changes.

Returns Processing Fee

A returns processing fee will be introduced on January 1, 2025 (instead of October 1, 2024), with the first charge between April 7 to April 15 for returns from January to March, 2025. This fee will apply to high-return-rate products in all categories, excluding clothing and shoes, to address the operational costs of returns and reduce waste. For more information, go to 2024 returns processing fee changes.

Rate Corrections

Additionally, previously communicated rates for the storage utilisation surcharge for oversize products from October to December were incorrect. Amazon apologise for the inconvenience this may have caused.
