From the 4th of November, two TikTop Shop policy updates will come into effect – TikTok Shop Customer Order Shipping and TikTok Shop Seller Performance Evaluation.
TikTok Shop Policy update – Seller Performance
This is relatively minor and won’t impact your business greatly, the policy will simply be revamped to provide better clarity and simplicity on how TikTok measure Seller Performance and how they may enforce against Sellers in case of violations of TikTok Shop Terms and Policies.
TikTok Shop Policy update – Shipping
TikTok Shop Shipping Timeframes
TikTok are updating the way that they determine Late Dispatch Rate (LDR): Instead of Transit to Ship (TTS), the LDR will now be based on when the Seller has completed the Ready to Ship (RTS) (also known as To Ship-Awaiting Collection status) within 2 working days of order creation. This change will eliminate delays caused by courier handover issues affecting LDR.
Required Seller ActionsFurther detail on each action is set out in Sections 5.1 to 5.6 of this Policy. | Seller Center Order Status | Agreed TimeframeTimeframes are calculated from the date of the Seller’s receipt of an order | Auto-cancellationSee Section 5.7 below for more information. |

Valid Tracking Numbers
The platform will also now track the validity of tracking numbers (VTR) in the Ship by Seller option. Sellers can monitor their VTR performance in Seller Centre and will be provided feedback based on this.
One Response
Just as an alert to anyone.
Don’t think you can ship by standard 2nd class / 1st class. RM24/48
I hadn’t realised this was not an option and you can ONLY use Tracked 24/48 for Royal Mail
I dispatched to the customer using RM48 and only when I went to add the tracking / delivery reference did it say “No WAY”
The customer service did reiterate many times that I must use rm tracked 24/48 and despite me showing proof of dispatch and eventually proof of delivery including a message on Tiktok FROM the buyer saying they had received it, TikTok still wouldn’t mark as delivered.
I then had to send an empty envelope using tracked 48 JUST so I had a valid tracking number. I explained this to the buyer in the chat so they were aware.
So, now I know moving forward “NO RM24/48” B-)
