Fruugo non-compliant products will be removed under GPSR

Fruugo have emailed retailers reminding them that there are only 5 weeks until GPSR comes into effect on the 13th of December. GPSR will impact all products listed in the EU, Northern Ireland, Switzerland and Norway.

To ensure that retailers are aware of the massive amount of work to be done to ensure listings and products meet the new legislation, Fruugo will start to send daily reminders if you have missing GPSR brand or manufacturer information.

Fruugo GPSR Contacts Checklist

  • Ensure every SKU in your feed / product listing is populated with a brand or manufacturer
  • Download a csv from the Fruugo retailer portal which contains all of your brands or manufacturers (depending on how this is populated in your feed / listing)
  • Populate the csv with the brand / manufacturer address, phone number, email address and website address
  • Populate the EU responsible Person details if the brand / manufacturer is not in the EU, Norway, Switzerland or Northern Ireland
  • Please check and make sure that the contacts you have uploaded have been marked as Valid. If any contacts have been marked as Invalid please action any Issues listed.
  • The system will consider GB contacts as valid but only those with Northern Ireland postcodes will be visible in the EU, Norway, Switzerland and Northern Ireland when the blocking mechanism is launched in December.

Fruugo GPSR Safety Information Checklist

Submit Safety information for every SKU in your product listing prior to 13th December 2024 using one of the 3 methods.  Submit a safety attestation if there are no safety warnings.

Below are the instructions on how to upload Safety Information for each method:

  • CSV File upload in the Retailer Portal.
  • Feed Integration if supported by your integration partner
  • Product API if supported by your integration partner

You will need to review your listing and submit a safety attestation if there are no safety warnings.

Any product without a safety warning or attestation listed in the mandatory categories will be blocked from sale in the EU, Norway, Switzerland and Northern Ireland when the blocking mechanism is launched in December.

To help retailers prepare, daily reminders will be sent from Fruugo for any missing GPSR contact information and a Product Issue Report will be available for you to download in the Fruugo portal, listing all SKUs with missing GPSR Safety Information plus other issues to fix
