How English Summer designed and optimised a product to sell on Amazon

Most times when selling on Amazon, you already have a product and are simply looking for sales. But English Summer approached things from the opposite way around, they looked at the Amazon business concept first and then designed a product that was optimised to fit in with Amazon and FBA. We spoke to Lila and Daniel to find out more.

The product English Summer settled on was an umbrella, but what’s really striking is it could have been almost anything – it’s just that a quality umbrella could be designed to fit neatly into Amazon FBA dimension and weight brackets. Then the task was to look at umbrella design and features to ensure it stands out from the crowd and to source manufacturing to get the product in stock.
