With Love Island: All Stars underway, eBay hosted the first party of the series, with Islanders dressed head to toe in pre-loved outfits merging partywear with key pieces of high-end tailoring from eBay’s shared wardrobe.
The Love Island styling team crafted unique looks for each Islander, using handpicked pre-loved pieces sourced by eBay’s Pre-Loved Style Director, Amy Bannerman. Items include a D&G playsuit, a Versace dress (previously worn by Lana and Indiyah) and a Jacquemus blazer dressfor the girls, alongside jackets, shirts and suits spanning brands from Prada to Percival for the boys.
The islanders have embraced the tailoring party theme, with stand out looks from the girls including Elma who showed up with a pop of colour in a green Jacquemus blazer dress and bombshell Ekin-Su who wowed in a backless black and white Monot mini dress. While, for the boys, Luca wore Acne Studio trousers, and Marcel and Curtis both opted for linen suits, Curtis showcased high-street fashion from M&S and Marcel wore a green suit from Jaeger.
Just like the Islanders, viewers at home are also leaning into statement dressing in fierce power suits with searches for ‘blazer’ rising by 20% and ‘tuxedo’ rising by 40% in January.
Tailoring will never not be chic and is only increasing in popularity. Whether you want to wear a suit to a board meeting or some slouchy tailored trousers with trainers for a more relaxed look.
Stars such as Zendaya, Kate Winslet or Ayo Edebiri have been spotted in impressive power suits on the red carpet recently and it’s been so exciting to bring this popular trend to the Love Island villa.
