Amazon are updating the way that they calculate Amazon FBA fees for clothing, accessories, backpacks and handbags, which will reduce parcel fees for the majority of these items.
From the 15th of May 2025, Amazon will calculate FBA fulfilment fees for items in these categories based on the parcel size tier and unit weight only (rather than the greater of unit weight or dimensional weight).
Starting 15th May 2025:
- Amazon will introduce seven new parcel size tiers for items in the “Clothing and Accessories” and “Backpacks and Handbags” categories.
- Amazon will exempt backpacks and handbags from the returns processing fee for products with a high-return rate. Any returns processing fee applied to backpacks and handbags sold after the fee was introduced on February 1, 2025 will be waived or reimbursed (no action is required).
These fulfilment fee updates will apply to local and Pan-European FBA, the European Fulfilment Network, Remote Fulfilment between the UK and the EU, and the Ships in Product Packaging program in Amazon’s UK, Germany, France, Italy and Spain stores. There is no change to Low-Price FBA fees or fees for oversize items.
