It’s not enough for a marketplace or platform to accept payments from buyers, the payment then needs to be split for multiple payouts – to the seller of course, but there’s also marketplace fees, retail media, shipping service providers that might be owed a part of the payment. But the really big question is can you use the payment data on the fly to drive higher margins and for personalisation of offers shown to prospective customers?
