Shopify have announced a new alliance with Roblox, becoming the platform’s first commerce integration partner. This partnership brings together two companies on a mission of furthering entrepreneurship and making commerce everywhere a reality—even in immersive spaces.
Shopify’s commerce integration with Roblox is now available to eligible Shopify merchants. Brands can now create immersive commerce experiences right inside Roblox to reach an engaged audience of 97+ million daily active users.
This means developers, creators, and brands who are on Shopify can sell physical items directly within their Roblox games without ever leaving the Roblox platform. Fenty are already live!
Inside the Fenty Beauty Experience on Roblox, you explore the space, find the product, buy it right there, and it ships to your door. This is the third installment of Fenty Beauty’s world on Roblox, but the first time the brand is making it shoppable. And that’s the gamechanger – being able to engage gamers with ecommerce and this isn’t virtual merch for your avatar. This is real product, made shoppable through play.
Through this integration, creators and brands are able to engage with a global audience of nearly 80 million daily active Roblox users (as of Q2 2024) and potential customers. It also gives Roblox creators a brand new avenue to entrepreneurship.
- Roblox saw 21.7 billion hours of user engagement in Q4 2024, or approximately 2.4 hours per user per day.
- A majority of Roblox users are 13 and up, with measurable purchasing power.
- Real-world purchases from virtual storefronts are now possible via Fenty and e.l.f.
- The broader metaverse is set for significant growth by 2032
