- The average of the number of monthly active recipients in the UK accessing TikTok over Q1 2025, January 2025-March 2025 exceeded 30 million users
- 1.5 million British businesses are on TikTok
- This supports 32,000 jobs
- SMEs on TikTok contribute an additional £1.6 billion to the UK economy
- TikTok are growing their UK workforce to 3,000 employees this year
To support this massive growth, TikTok are also announcing further investment into the UK, expanding their already significant presence here with a new London office and additional jobs.
TikTok’s UK workforce will grow to 3,000 this year with the addition of more than 500 jobs, and are investing in a new 135,000 sq ft office in Barbican, London, set to open in early 2026. This will be in addition to TikTok’s 88,500 sq ft Farringdon head office which we opened in 2022, and take TikTok’s investment in our UK infrastructure to around £140million.
TikTok has had a deep commitment to the UK since their launch here in 2018. TikTok’s European operations are financially incorporated here, and TikTok UK is their European operating company.
Whether through direct investment in jobs and innovation, or the wider economic contribution from millions of British businesses on TikTok, we’re pleased to be increasing our investment and presence here in the UK, an important hub for TikTok.
