Temu local-to-local sales to be 50% by end of 2025

Temu local-to-local sales to be 50% by end of 2025

Temu, one of the marketplaces featured in the ChannelX 15 UK Growth Channels ebook, continues to grow their local-to-local sales and have an ever growing list of UK retailers excelling on the platform.

Temu are aiming for half of all orders on their marketplace to be local-to-local sales by the end of the year, which represents a huge opportunity for UK retailers who adopt the platform. The latest figure I’ve seen suggest that they have some 22,000,000 UK customers so this is a marketplace that’s quickly become hard to ignore.

On Temu, perhaps for the first time in three decades, there is an opportunity to be a first mover on Temu and to dominate a category. This is a huge advantage as the four UK Temu sellers spotlighted below can testify:

  • Spot On-Line (SOL) are a Leeds-based retailer, specialising in affordable home and craft supplies, and are expanding operations and creating new jobs following a sharp rise in online sales through Temu. Their first four weeks on Temu daily sales rise from £200 to £1,500
  • DIVCHI, a UK gardening tools brand, launched an online store on Temu in February – just before planting season – and sales flourished beyond expectations. DIVCHI is among the growing wave of British sellers choosing to sell on Temu.
  • Exploded Sweets, a UK-based confectionery start-up and online viral sensation, has attributed its stellar growth to Temu.
  • Nova Tissue, a UK-based toilet paper and kitchen roll manufacturer, turned to online marketplace Temu  and the team has never looked back with daily sales surpassing £10,000.

We’re glad to be part of the UK business community, supporting a growing number of local entrepreneurs and small businesses as they expand their reach through Temu. The platform helps them connect with new customers, reduce costs, and grow their businesses.

Local sellers are well positioned to benefit from Temu’s growing reputation as a destination for both variety and value. In a recent survey, over 80% of UK shoppers recognised Temu as offering substantial value for money.

By the end of this year, we aim for locally fulfilled orders to account for around half of our UK sales—a reflection of the trust consumers and our partners are placing in Temu as we grow together.
