This week, the eBay Sellerbration Garden Party was held at their HQ in Richmond, which centered around recognising the eBay sellers who have given up their time to host eBay Business Seller Meetups around the country.
eBay Seller Meet Ups
The eBay Seller Meet Ups are events designed to connect eBay sellers, eBay staff, and experts in the ecommerce space. These gatherings are typically organized to foster community, share knowledge, and provide sellers with valuable tools and insights to enhance their businesses on eBay.
Run by eBay business sellers to support eBay business sellers, they’re all about sharing experience and ideas that even the most seasoned of eBay sellers can use to transform their business – you really can teach an old dog new tricks!
10 Business Seller Meetups have already taken place, and you’ll find future events in the diary for Manchester, London, East Midlands, Wirral, Bristol and Birmingham and we hear that more events are planned for 2026 in places including Brighton and London. If you’ve not yet attended one, it’s well worth taking a few hours out to network and learn.
100 years eBay experience
At the eBay Sellerbration Garden Party, four friends grabbed a photo op in the eBay reception to mark what’s near enough 100 years of eBay experience between us. It’s amazing to think that we all opened our first eBay account a quarter of a century ago and are still active on the marketplace.
We were all considerably younger when we opened our eBay accounts and having first met about a quarter of a century ago, we have regularly come together at multiple eBay and channel industry events. In the image above:
Stuart Baldry – Managing Director of Ferncrest Trading, Stuart also owns a coffee shop in Brighton and plans to cohost a new eBay Business Seller Meetup also in Brighton.
David Brackin – Founder of Stuff U Sell and for the past 15 years has been a regular contributing editor to ChannelX. David has an amazing knowledge of the fashion and preloved industry on marketplaces and huge experience of running large businesses on eBay.
Jane Bell – One of the OG bead sellers (fondly known as the ‘bead mafia’), and today a reknowned eBay consultant who also co-hosts the East Midlands eBay Business Seller Meetup (Next event scheduled for Thursday the 18th of September). Jane never tires of mentioning that 25 years ago she joined eBay a full 6 days before I opened my account!
Chris Dawson – And myself, Editor of ChannelX for the past 19 years, I started my eBay journey as a seller in the tech category, and, as of few minutes ago, recent recipient of my latest eBay order which has just been delivered by DX!
