In her latest blog post, Eve Williams, General Manager of eBay UK has revealed that they are working on making it easier for you to send your heavier items, with DHL being added as a new eBay Simple Delivery courier option in the coming weeks.
eBay Simple Delivery is the marketplace’s all-in-one delivery solution, primarily for private sellers, providing you with an easier and faster listing experience. It offers delivery options based on similar items, as well as your courier preferences. Once your item sells, you’ll receive a prepaid printable label and QR code, which automatically includes tracking for your order so you can get paid faster. Your items are fully protected in case of loss or damage in transit.
eBay Simple Delivery currently offers Royal Mail and Evri. The addition of DHL means you’ll soon be able to send parcels weighing up to 30kg (with dimensions up to 120cm x 80cm x 80cm) and still benefit from all the convenience and protections that come with Simple Delivery.
DHL will automatically be selected as the courier for eligible orders. This service comes complete with doorstep collection, making it even more convenient to send big and bulky items.
