From the 1st of September sellers, eBay have announced that sellers who opt-in to send items via Royal Mail only for the eBay Simple Delivery programme will see prices rocket. These changes will apply to all new and existing listings.
eBay Simple Delivery is their all-in-one delivery solution, providing Private Sellers with an easier and faster listing experience. Simple Delivery will become the only delivery method available for private sellers when posting eligible items. It’s optional for items that are £10 or under, letter-sized, and in certain sub-categories.
Simple Delivery currently uses Royal Mail, Evri, and DHL and by default you’ll automatically be opted in to use all couriers. However, if there’s not a convenient Evri or DHL drop off point and you choose to only offer Royal Mail, your customers may find the delivery charges somewhat off putting. Indeed, I’d almost go as far to say you should opt for Evri as they are a decent carrier and their prices through eBay Simple Delivery will become very very attractive!

eBay are simply an evil organisation. money grabbing and care nothing for their ‘community’ they claim to love so much. i compare them to Kier Starmer, just 2-tier with everything they do.
Lots of companies are not happy with ebay already there will be a lot of sellers and buyers not happy with this latest change. Royal Mail now has an owner with funds to setup its own selling platform to compete with those other selling platforms out there. Just needs Daniel Kretinsky to wake up to the fact.
