If you want to be to be among the first group of sellers to sell in real-time on eBay Live, it’s time to register your interest. eBay Live has launched across the Fashion and Collectables categories so primarily sellers in these categories should be most interested, but keep an eye out for new categories to be launched in the future.
The platform, where buyers can interact with you and purchase directly from your shop during a livestream, which launched earlier this year, is a great way to build your brand and connection with your buyers.
Tap into a massive audience of enthusiast buyers and reach new customers through eBay Live. Powered by interactive real-time connection, eBay is an innovative, more personal way to sell and is shaping the future of ecommerce.
Selling on eBay Live is currently by invitation only, but eBay are regularly welcoming more sellers to the platform. Registering your interest ensures you’re among the first to be contacted as onboarding expands.
How does eBay Live work?
Items are listed as auctions or buy it now, which allows buyers to place bids in real-time until the auction ends. There are two types of auctions:
- Standard Auctions: These run for a fixed duration. Once the auction timer reaches zero, the highest bidder at that moment wins the item.
- Extended Auctions: If enabled by the seller, extended auctions add extra time when and if bidding activity occurs near the scheduled end time. If a bid is placed within the last 5 seconds, the timer resets to 10 seconds. This continues until no more bids are placed in the final 5 seconds, ensuring all interested buyers have a fair chance to bid.
