Walmart has begun a major push to bring U.K. sellers to its global Marketplace on the U.S. Walmart Marketplace, as well as its growing international marketplaces in Canada, Mexico and Chile — all well-established online marketplaces with a trusted community of third-party sellers. Each week, approximately 270 million customers and members visit more than 10,750 stores and numerous eCommerce websites in 19 countries, offering UK and European sellers an immediate opportunity to expand internationally at scale.
Walmart are hosting their UK Seller Summit in London on the 9th of September, where attendees can gain insights and hands-on support like cross-border growth guidance, connections with merchants and more. Leading manufacturers and exporters from an array of sectors, ranging from fashion, home and kitchen to sporting goods, beauty and entertainment, have been invited to attend. Walmart has also opened a dedicated seller office in London to help support U.K. and European sellers who would like to launch into online sales on the company’s marketplaces.
Sellers approved to join the marketplace will be offered the services of a local onboarding team, as well as access to powerful tools and services to help them rapidly scale up across the Atlantic, including the opportunity to get their goods to U.S. customers within two days* and competitive fulfillment solutions in Canada, Mexico and Chile.
