It’s time for a quick root through your inbox to check you haven’t missed any emails from Amazon… sellers report receiving emails say that they have been selected as on of Amazon’s ‘esteemed sellers’ who’s shipping settings are being changed to 0-day handling time configuration for orders that you either fulfill yourself or using Amazon Easy Ship service.
The important part of the email reads:
We will make this change on your behalf. Your account will be migrated from 1-day Default Handling Time to 0-day Default Handling Time as of October 27th 2025 . From this date onward, you will need to ship your products either same day if you receive an order by 11:00 AM (Default) on a given day, or the following day if you receive an order between 11:00 AM (Default) and 6:00 AM (next day).
And if you’re not happy with this, i.e. you can’t fulfil same day, Amazon ask that you please continue to ship orders on or before the ship by date to avoid increase in Late Shipment Rate and cancellations. But, you can go in to Amazon and update ASIN level handling time for products which needs longer time to ship.
In short, Amazon are changing the handling times that you carefully set to 0-Day, and it’s up to you to go in and edit your items back to 1-Day so that you don’t get dinged for shipping late.
You can make the changes back to your original settings for each of your products using SKU HT functionality in Manage all inventory > Edit listing page.
