Pinterest is rolling out Pinterest Assistant, the first AI-powered collaborator experience designed to transform online shopping and discovery. More than a typical chatbot, Pinterest Assistant enables users to chat, collaborate, discover, and shop all in one place by delivering creative, insightful and tailored visual search results. Simply, tap the mic icon and say what you’re looking for. Pinterest Assistant will audibly respond with visual results personalized to you.

Pinterest Assistant is the first AI-powered, visual-first collaborator that transforms online shopping and discovery. Whether you’re searching for the perfect outfit for a first date or new bedding for winter, Pinterest Assistant solves the “I’ll know it when I see it” problem that all of us face when shopping. 

Talk to Pinterest Assistant and you’ll get proactive recommendations that fit your style, leveraging the diverse content and actions from our nearly 600 million monthly active users. For example, “I need new throw pillows that match my living room decor” prompts Pinterest Assistant to draw from your saves, boards, collages, and others with similar tastes, to deliver pillows tailored to your specific design aesthetic. 

Unlike traditional search or chatbots, which are helpful once you already know what you’re looking for, Pinterest Assistant is designed for the moments when you don’t. It offers visual, personalized and proactive recommendations, like a best friend suggesting the perfect new look. Pinterest Assistant is your personal collaborator, allowing you to discover, get inspired and shop all in one place.
