Rackhams, the newly relaunched online department store, has announced a new three-year partnership with Marketplacer following a successful first year that has seen the company onboard more than 600 sellers and list over 200,000 products on its marketplace.
The move comes as Rackhams continues to build on its position as one of the UK’s fastest-growing curated marketplaces, with sellers praising the platform’s flexibility, ease of integration, and hands-on support from the Rackhams onboarding team.
Marketplacer has been instrumental in helping us scale quickly. Seller data comes in all shapes and sizes, so forcing sellers into a strict one-size-fits-all structure will never lead to success. That’s why we’ve maintained a flexible, hands-on approach — shaping data to deliver a consistent customer experience while helping partners showcase their products in the best possible way.
If you can remove pain points for your partners, you gain far more traction, We know sellers value being able to speak to real people. That’s not just good service — it builds lasting relationships, which are key to the success of any marketplace as our sellers and their products are the lifeblood of Rackhams.
– Mark Jordan, CEO of Rackhams
A platform built for flexibility and connection
Marketplacer provides Rackhams with a powerful and scalable foundation, supporting direct integrations with leading ecommerce platforms such as Shopify, Magento, WooCommerce and more. Sellers can import their entire product catalogue in minutes, with automated syncing of inventory, pricing and orders.
For larger or more complex operations, Rackhams also supports channel management systems including Linnworks and Scalably, as well as bulk upload options — giving partners multiple routes to join and grow on the platform.
Putting people and process before technology
Rackhams’ onboarding approach is cited by sellers as a key differentiator. By recognising that every seller’s data structure is different, the company has taken a highly adaptive stance — supporting varied data formats and assisting partners directly rather than relying solely on automated mapping or leaving this in the hands of the sellers of themselves.
This approach removes major friction points that often delay or derail onboarding, allowing sellers to get their products live and trading faster. Dedicated account managers are available via phone and email, ensuring that support is personal, responsive, and accessible.
There are many capable marketplace platforms available today; but in our experience, the true success comes down to how they’re implemented, managed, and supported. Since our integration and launch with Rackhams; where they utilise the Marketplacer platform, it has proved to be a powerful tool when utilised effectively. It provides a strong foundation for growth, collaboration, and a great experience for both sellers and customers.

When it comes to Marketplacer I’ve had two very different experiences. The way Rackhams have utilised the platform has made things far easier to use, allowing me to edit and amend products, update prices very quickly when required to do so. The support Rackhams have provided is incredibly responsive, the team are always on hand and reply quickly to answer any queries when I’ve had them.

Building on the Marketplacer foundation
Rackhams has also invested in additional infrastructure around the Marketplacer platform to improve speed, reliability and seller experience — including faster payouts, improved integrations and enhanced data flow management.
We’ve listened closely to seller feedback. By building complementary services around Marketplacer, we’re ensuring the experience remains best-in-class — not just for sellers, but for the customers who buy from them.
