Amazon Leo is Amazon’s low Earth orbit satellite network, designed to deliver fast, reliable internet connectivity to customers and communities beyond the reach of existing networks. Good news for rural Britain as the UK is one of the first countries that can expect access at some point in 2026.
Amazon Leo used to be called Project Kuiper but was renamed in November 2025 (Low Earth Orbit satellites). The intention is to offer high-speed, low-latency internet to just about anywhere in the UK, and yes that can include remote farming communities as well as the potential to add high speed broadband to your motor home!
There are still too many places in the UK where broadband access is unreliable or where it doesn’t exist at all, and LEO systems like Amazon Leo can play an important role in helping connect those beyond the reach of existing networks. We’re proud to do our part to help connect customers and communities across the country.

Amazon are developing multiple antennas to give customers choice and flexibility:
- Leo Nano, a 7×7” model that delivers downlink speeds up to 100 megabits per second (Mbps)
- Leo Pro, an 11×11” model that delivers downlink speeds up to 400 Mbps
- Leo Ultra, an enterprise-grade antenna that delivers downlink speeds up to 1 gigabit per second (Gbps) and uplink speeds up to 400 Mbps.
Amazon have already kicked off an enterprise preview in November 2025 to allow select business customers to begin testing the network using production hardware and software. There’s also a wait list if you’re interested in learning more or want to be first to jump on board, with options coming for both Business and Personal use.
