If you are already logged into Shopify on a device, don’t log out is the advice from Shopify, who have been experiencing some glitches this Cyber Monday.
At just gone 2pm this afternoon, users started reporting issues logging into their Shopify accounts – just at the time of one of the busiest shopping days of the year that many would start printing off orders for next day shipments and holiday orders.
What’s working and what’s down at Shopify?
Shopify have confirmed the issue, and as of 5pm this evening the following services are operational:
- Storefront
- Checkout
- Reports & Dashboards
- Third party services
- Oxygen
However, you can expect degraded performance for:
- Admin
- Support
- API and Mobile
- POS
Shopify’s latest update says:
We are continuing to investigate and apply mitigations for the current issue. As noted previously, please remain logged in on any devices that are currently logged in.
– Shopify Status Page 16:19pm
Estimates suggest that there are about 5.7-6 million active Shopify stores with around 200 thousand in the UK. It is one of the most popular ecommerce platforms on the web today.
The good news is that it appears shoppers on the web can still place orders. The bad news is that if you’re not already logged in you won’t be able to process them – best advice, take a deep breath and keep an eye on the Shopify Status page for updates, although you’ll probably miss your courier collection today so prepare for a massive shipping day this Tuesday.
