‘For once a beneficial change’ is the reaction of one Amazon merchant on reading the news that Amazon has introduced new Fulfilment by Merchant holiday settings.
Amazon have updated their Fulfilment by Merchant to give you more control over your offers, aiming to help you give more accuracy over delivery promises and keep your products visible when you are on holiday.
Seller-Set Holidays
- You can now set your own holidays, which are days when your business is closed while keeping your products visible to customers.
- Previously you had to use vacation mode to manage time off which made your listings temporarily undiscoverable.
- The system automatically adjust delivery dates to account for your holiday schedule
You’ll be able to set your holidays in your Shipping Settings.
Enhanced Transparency for Delivery Dates
To help you understand how delivery dates are calculated, Amazon have added new columns to your Fulfilment by Merchant order reports. These show the handling and transit times for each order
You can also view the handling time for each SKU and download your handling time report on the Product-Level Shipping Preferences dashboard.
