The 1st of May, 2025 is when eBay Live launched in the UK, with the first live stream starring Katherine Ryan. Fast forward a year, and eBay Live Selling is still relatively new and a bit of a mystery to those that haven’t started live selling yet.
So we sat down with the first sellers in the electronics category to go behind the screen and discover what eBay Live is all about and how to find success. Matt Giles answers everything from onboarding with eBay Live Selling through to the practical steps you need to take to set up and run an eBay Live Show, and how to build a community that supports your Live selling.
Matt reveals the huge potential of eBay Live Selling, including that he sells as much in a 90 minute eBay Live Show as he used to sell in a week in his eBay Shop… and he’s now going Live 10 times a week so that means he’s selling 10x on eBay Live in a week compared to selling through eBay core listings!
The results for Preloved Tech means that they’re growing their business, employing more people, and sourcing more stock – good news for the economy as well as the Preloved Tech business.
