Mirakl, the operating system for intelligent commerce, have announced the launch of Mirakl’s Trust & Safety feature, a new AI-powered capability designed to help marketplace operators take greater control of the products sold on their platforms.
As product volumes continue to grow and regulatory requirements become more stringent, marketplace operators must safeguard their platform’s integrity and reputation by helping sellers ensure that listed items comply with applicable rules while maintaining a seamless experience for all users. This tool allows for documenting and tracking moderation decisions, in compliance with the regulations that apply to operators (i.e.Digital Services Act, UK Online Safety Act, etc.)
To address this challenge, Mirakl is introducing Trust & Safety, an advanced AI-powered capability that automatically identifies potentially illegal, illicit, or inappropriate products across both text and images, including:
- Sexual Content and Child Sexual Exploitation Material (CSEM);
- Weapons and regulated items;
- Extreme violence;
- Hate symbols and extremism;
- Explicit adult materials;
- Sensitive Political & Social Content.
Unlike standalone moderation tools, Trust & Safety is natively embedded in Mirakl’s catalog management workflow, enabling operators to review flagged content directly within their existing processes, with no additional tooling or engineering overhead.
The solution operates across the entire product lifecycle: screening listings before publication, monitoring them after they go live, and enabling retrospective analysis of existing catalogs. Mirakl provides them with configurable tools, and the Operator sets its rules. By improving visibility and control, Mirakl helps operators protect their platform integrity while enabling sellers to meet evolving regulatory requirements and creating a safer, more trustworthy shopping environment.
Products flagged by the Trust & Safety AI capability are surfaced for review, enabling operators to focus their moderation eff orts exclusively on potentially problematic listings. This approach combines the effi ciency of AI-powered automation with human judgment for flagged items only, allowing moderation teams to work smarter and faster.
