Send to Amazon updated tracking ID validation begins today

send to amazon

Amazon have updating the tracking ID validation parameters for Send to Amazon shipments that use non-partnered carriers. This change, they say, will help them process your inventory faster and reduce defects.

The Send to Amazon shipment creation workflow already validates whether tracking IDs are present, unique or appear invalid. Now Amazon will also check for correct length, expected carrier format and additional character requirements. This will happen automatically and no action is required from you.

Valid tracking information helps Amazon plan for your inventory, reduce delays and make your in-transit inventory available for sale sooner. It also gives you visibility into each receiving step. Without valid tracking information, they can’t provide delivered status updates on your shipment.

To avoid defects, enter the valid tracking IDs exactly as your carrier provides them for all small-parcel boxes. For pallet shipments, enter your Progressive (PRO) or Bill of Lading (BOL) number. Follow all alerts and prompts when you update tracking information to make sure that your entries are valid.

To view your defects, go to Shipping Queue, select your shipment link and click the Problems tab.
