Fitment Plus Auto is due to roll out in September, which should make listing auto parts easier and help buyers find your parts faster. Fitment Plus Auto (FPA) will automatically add compatible vehicle information to eligible listings using your brand and Manufacturer Part Number (MPN).
On eBay, Fitment, also known as compatibility, is the vehicle information that helps buyers understand whether a part or accessory fits their vehicle. Fitment Plus Auto is an eBay feature that automatically adds and updates compatible vehicle information on eligible Parts & Accessories listings.
Any listings enhanced through Fitment Plus Auto qualify for the eBay Assured Fit programme. When a buyer purchases an eligible part or accessory with the eBay Assured Fit checkmark, the item is covered by the eBay Money Back Guarantee, with free returns. If the item arrives and doesn’t fit the buyer’s vehicle, they can open a return request using the “Doesn’t fit my vehicle” return reason. If the seller chooses to resolve it by accepting the return, the buyer will get a return label from eBay at no charge
From the 15th of September 2026, sellers in fitment-enabled categories will be automatically enrolled. If your listing has the right matching info, eBay will add or update compatible vehicle data to help buyers find parts. You can opt out or back in at any time.
FPA reduces the time spent managing fitment manually while improving the compatibility information buyers rely on before they purchase.
How Fitment Plus Auto works
- Your listings are reviewed and matched
Fitment Plus Auto checks Parts & Accessories listings and uses your brand and MPN information to identify compatible vehicles. - FPA adds or improves fitment data
Relevant vehicle information is added when fitment data is missing, filling compatibility gaps to improve coverage. - You stay in control of your settings
Eligible listings are automatically included, but you can manage your settings, opt out or opt back in through Motors Selling Preferences.
