Pinterest names David Brinker Global Head of Content

David Brinker is joining Pinterest as Global Head of Content, reporting to Global Business Officer Lee Brown, starting on the 17th of August, 2026.

David will own Pinterest’s global content business, leading the team that builds the content engine powering visual search, discovery and shopping on Pinterest. This includes scaled content and partnerships, creator strategy and monetisation (including affiliate commerce and sponsored content), original content strategy and programming, content quality and governance, and branded content and sponsorship revenue.

This follows Pinterest’s Q2 2026 results reported on Tuesday: $1.18 billion in revenue, up 18% year-over-year; record 640 million monthly active users making over 80B searches each month, the 12th consecutive quarter of record users.

Pinterest’s recent content initiatives include Bring My Pinterest to Life (BMPTL), Pinterest’s shoppable CTV series that spotlights creators and experts helping turn real people’s Pinterest ideas into real-world transformations. It also includes commerce-forward creator features like creator storefront tools, including Amazon Storefront linking for eligible creators, designed to reduce friction from inspiration to purchase.

Together, these reflect how Pinterest’s tastemakers and experts help build a more positive place online while shaping a more relevant, trusted, and actionable consumer journey.

David is an operator with the rare mix of creative instinct and deep rigor, and he’ll help us keep building a content ecosystem that’s more useful, more trusted, and more connected to real outcomes for users, creators, and brands. He’s built and led high-performing content and partnerships teams, and I’m excited for the clarity and momentum he’ll bring as we continue to evolve our content strategy and scale what’s working.

– Lee Brown, Global Business Officer, Pinterest

Content is at the core of Pinterest, and I’m excited to join and help scale an ecosystem that is both inspiring and positive, closing the gap between finding an idea and acting on it. I’m looking forward to partnering with teams across the company to keep raising the bar on content quality and relevance, building experiences that feel increasingly useful, positive, and personalized.

– David Brinker Global Head of Content, Pinterest

Most recently, David served as Chief Business Officer at Character.AI. Prior to that, he spent over seven years at Snap building its global content ecosystem, and earlier served as President of the New York Post.
