iZettle launches in the UK

The race for taking the lead on mobile payments in the UK continues to hot up with the news that iZettle has launched in Britian. So far, the Stockholm based company has only made its services available to Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Finland and Germany.

iZettle have partnered with EE to provide their service which is available for both iOS and Android systems. You can either use a plug-in swiper for your smartphone or tablet or type the card numbers in manually to take payments.

There’s no subscription cost or monthly fee and you get a card reader free. In the UK, transaction costs are 2.75%. iZettle deposits funds daily in your bank account.
