Amazon UK expands Sunday deliveries service

No primary category set

After a successful trial before Christmas in London, Amazon will now be increasing its Sunday delivery service in certain areas where it seems to be in greatest demand.

The areas identified are where many people work, don’t like going to the Post Office for collection and tend to be at home on a Sunday. The 7 areas are London,Birmingham, Milton Keynes, Oxford, Nottingham, Manchester and Leeds.

The service will be free for Amazon Prime customers and it may well be rolled out to other parts of the country in due course. It’s another example of how Amazon are tweaking their offering for the convenience of customers.

UK Director of Amazon Logistics Jamie Stephenson says” “At Amazon, we’re continually innovating on behalf of our customers. We know customers really appreciated the immediacy of Sunday deliveries during the Christmas period and we were able to deliver thousands more parcels in this way in those four weeks.”
