Last night PayPal and Braintree announced the start-ups who been successful in their applications and will take part in the Start Tank initiative announced in July.
The startups joining the programme are:
The winner of the John Lewis JLAB, which offers an enterprise grade micro location platform that helps you quickly integrate iBeacon based proximity interactions into your iOS and Android apps
A free mobile application that, at participating venues and events, enables you to view menus, order and securely pay all from your mobile device
An app that brings you anything you want delivered from top London restaurants, grocery stores and retail stores in 60 minutes
A secure system for converting your telephone plan in euros
A platform that gives you the tools to create something new and imaginative every day
These startups will now have access to mentors, business opportunities and all the benefits of the Startup Blueprint offering, which includes free PayPal and Braintree fees and a dedicated customer care team. Working alongside PayPal and Braintree at their offices in central London, PayPal and Braintree executives and advisors will be on hand to help guide the startups in growing their businesses as they work towards a demo day where they will share their business models and growth strategies.
John Lunn of PayPal said “The calibre of the entries to the programme was exceptional, and these startups represent some of the best examples of innovation in the UK at the moment. They are developing solutions and services that will change the way which business work and people live their lives, and we’re excited to see how they evolve in the next six months! “
