Eliminate cut and paste for Royal Mail 2D labels

Independent wine specialist, Roberson Wine have selected the NetDespatch platform to seamlessly connect the their order management system with the APC Overnight parcel delivery network.

The company delivers more than 5,000 consignments a year and with 50% of these sales taking place online needed to streamline their order fulfilment process. Roberson Wine realised that a key benefit of NetDespatch integration is that it eliminates transcription errors between web orders and the despatch process. Order and delivery details sent to the carrier are exactly the same as those entered by the customer when the order is placed.

Here at Tamebay we’ve heard loud and clear from the many retailers who are being encouraged by Royal Mail to move to the new 2D labels. A common complaint has been the requirement to key in each address manually. The good news is this is just the scenario NetDespatch can assist with and that’s one of the key benefits Roberson Wine welcomed.

Prior to implementing NetDespatch, all the order information had to be re-keyed at point of despatch,” explained Ben Greene, Online Department Manager. “This was not only time consuming but we also ran the risk of input errors causing problems. NetDespatch save us a lot of time and has eliminated human error from the fulfilment and delivery process. Such errors are annoying, because it means re-booking the order which is time wasting”.

NetDespatch have already worked with multi-channel management company Seller Dynamics to roll out Royal Mail 2D barcodes for one client. Best of all they don’t charge you a penny for integration work and there are no ongoing costs – NetDespatch are paid by the couriers for doing the integration for you.

You can contact NetDespatch on 01978 367475 or through their website to see what they can do for you.
