Almost 90% of microbusiness owners feel the current government doesn’t understand their needs or support them, according to a new survey. And when you consider the ecommerce sector, and Tamebay readers, a great many will fall under this category.
The survey of more than 1,000 microbusiness owners (one to ten employees) was conducted by Crunch Accounting.
Crunch asked microbusiness owners “Do you feel the current Government is supportive of, and understands, one person businesses?” 88% responded No and a further 12% stated they were Undecided. Just one business owner responded in favour of the government’s approach.
Crunch microbusiness ambassador Jason Kitcat said: “With 8.4 million people working in the microbusiness sector we believe there is a huge opportunity for government to work with our sector to boost the economy and build relationships. We will continue to work across party lines to support everyone who wants to understand and connect with microbusinesses.”
