Same day delivery is increasingly becoming possible for smaller sellers and desireable to buyers. And the carrier management software provider Route Genie has teamed up with Pass my Parcel to offer retailers a same-day delivery service.
Pass my Parcel is a service that overs a click and collect option at their outlets. It’s owned by Smith News, the newspaper and magazine wholesaler. With the new service, Route Genie users can offer shoppers the option to collect at Pass my Parcel shops.
Within the M25, Pass My Parcel offers a same day and next day delivery service via thousands of pick-up points. There Pass my Parcel uses its own fleet to offer a same day delivery service for consumers that order by 11.45am, with collection available after 8pm. In addition, all orders made before 7.45pm can be collected after 9am the following day.
Pass my Parcel Sales Director Gary Howden said: “Pass my Parcel is committed to providing a speedy, efficient and reliable service and our partnership with Route Genie allows us to grow even further. This agreement will also help more retailers to enhance their overall customer experience by providing greater access to a same day delivery solution, as well as next day click and collect via our store network.”
It’s difficult to know how many marketplaces sellers and online retailers use these systems but it’s clear that increasingly speedy delivery is a holy grail for shoppers. Have you used Route Genie or Pass my Parcel?
