Etsy sellers may be pleased to hear that new CEO Josh Silverman is putting into practise his welcome statement that he would “look forward to listening and learning from our employees, sellers, buyers and shareholders to help ensure we are focusing on the most value-enhancing near- and long-term opportunities”.
He’ll be hosting his first Q&A on the Etsy Forums on Thursday this week, the 11th of May. This will be the first opportunity for many sellers to hear from Josh, although some may remember him from his time at eBay. Josh was Managing Director of Markplaats.nl and eBay Netherlands before a spell at eBay owned Shopping.com and Skype, so has plenty of marketplace experience.
