‘If you don’t love it, return it’ is the message that PayPal is punting to their customers and they are offering to pick up the tab for returning purchases that were originally paid for via PayPal. ‘Shop with PayPal and if what arrives isn’t quite cutting the mustard, you can return it on us’ is the message. They’re promoting PayPal Return Shipping with a splash screen on their site with a special offer that expires on the 31st of December 2017.

Yes we are aware that we’re well into 2018 and that 31st of December 2017 came and went over six months ago, but the good news is that the offer is an annual offer that provides 12 refunds on your return shipping costs for up to £15 per claim, so you can still sign up even though the date is wrong. This is marketed as an ‘exclusive offer offered to eligible PayPal account holders’ but the chances are that if you sign up it’ll be activated on your account.

How PayPal Return Shipping works is that if you make a purchase that you subsequently return, you follow theseller’s return instructions and a copy of your return shipping receipt. Then, log in to your PayPal account, select the purchase you returned and click on “Request return shipping refund”. Submit the return shipping request form, along with proof of your return within 30 days. If your claim is approved PayPal will send a refund of up to £15 to your PayPal account within 10 business days.

The PayPal Return Shipping offer is valid regardless of whether your purchase was from the UK or anywhere around the world. Once approved, the only real limits are a maximum refund of £15 per claim and no more than 12 claims in any one year.
