eBay are to hold a webinar with the UK Department for International Trade (DIT) on the 16th of July starting at 2.30pm, to help sellers learn more about powering up their e-exporting skills.
Rob Hattrell, Vice President eBay UK and the Secretary of State for International Trade, the Rt Hon Liz Truss MP will speak at the webinar, hosted by Lord O’Shaughnessy – and will look at the power of e-commerce to boost exports as well as the commercial opportunities for British SMEs arising from the UK’s developing trading relationships with countries such as the US, Australia, New Zealand and Japan.
Coming on the tail of the coronavirus webinar, the world is a very different place and even countries such as Australia, having appeared to have the pandemic over control have now had to lock down more than five million people in Melbourne from Wednesday the 8th of July for a six week period – We’ve seen a similar situation in Leicester in the UK. The world is a long way from getting back to normality, and on top of this, at the end of the year, the UK’s Brexit transition agreement expires and herein lies opportunity. If you’ve got stock then there’s perhaps never been a better time to grow your business and, as the UK forges new trading partners around the world, this includes expanding overseas.
The webinar will also include presentations from DIT officials, providing you with practical advice, resources and insights to help you hone your e-exporting skills and boost overseas selling.
