No primary category set

Reports suggest that after a successful funding round secured them 500k, building supplies online marketplace Go Banana has relocated to wales.

“We are on a mission to consolidate the highly fragmented trade professional supplies market. The sector often relies on personal relationships to procure equipment but we are now offering a primary market aggregator that is proving very popular. Our aim is to not only offer a one-stop shop for trade professionals, but to also support local independent merchants by offering an online selling solution that is needed now more than ever.”
– Phoebe Bull, Co-founder and Chief Operating Officer, Go Banana

Go Banana which was established by the late Rami Naori has relocated from London to Cardiff. The online marketplace gives tradesmen a place where they can buy all sorts of building supplies from hundreds of trusted merchants. The marketplace houses over 100,000 products and currently has 10,000 customers. The money raised in their funding round will aid their next phase of growth including the development of new technologies as well as customer acquisition and marketting.

“Construction is one of the UK’s largest economic sectors, but despite the size of the building materials and home improvement market, estimated to be worth around £70 billion per year, there has been no way to compare and contrast the vast ranges of products on the market until now.
– Colin Batten, the Development Bank for Wales
