EU VAT regulations for sales on marketplaces are changing on July 1st, and those changes will have significant impact for sellers based outside the EU, both in terms of customs procedures and fulfilment requirements. In this webinar, representatives from KPMG and Fruugo will explain the key changes that are being implemented and discuss what actions marketplace sellers need to take to get ready.

Speakers

Paul Casey is a Director in KPMG’s indirect tax team in the North of England, and is based in Manchester. Paul specialises in assisting B2C clients, including e-commerce businesses with VAT and indirect tax issues. He has 20 years’ experience of working in VAT, including two years spent as the indirect tax manager at a large UK retailer. As well as helping clients to deal with Brexit, Paul has been assisting retailers with the upcoming 1 July EU VAT changes.

Lorenzo Rossetti is a Director in KPMG’s customs and international trade practice. Lorenzo has 38 years’ experience of working in customs and international trade, including as a customs officer for HMRC and heading up a customs software company. Lorenzo has previously worked for KPMG, and re-joined the firm in early 2020. Since re-joining, most of Lorenzo’s time has been spent helping clients to deal with the customs issues arising from Brexit.

Iain Prince is an Associate Partner in KPMG’s supply chain consultancy practice. Iain advises a wide range of UK businesses, including many retailers, on supply chain related issues, including warehousing and logistics. Over the last few years, Iain has helped a wide number of clients to prepare for, and deal with the challenges arising from, Brexit. This has included assistance with reengineering their supply chains and establishing distribution centres in the EU.
