eBay to release iOS SDK for mobile app developers

No primary category set

eBay Partner NetworkIf you’re a developer who builds mobile phone apps to drive traffic to eBay then there’s good news coming down the line for you. eBay Partner Network (ePN – eBay’s affiliate program) are about to release a Mobile iOS software development kit (SDK) that has packaged some of their APIs with affiliate tracking.

Currently the SDK is only running on iOS (Apple), however eBay say that Android is well and truly on their radar and won’t be forgotten.

The SDK will be released to the public soon, however, eBay are still testing the tracking and monetization functionality in a closed beta with a few ePN affiliates. If you have an iOS Mobile App (or an idea for an App) and would like to be notified when eBay open the beta, you need to send them an email with your name, company name, phone number, App concept, and the email address you used to register for ePN.

This is good news for developers, and if you’re already an ePN affiliate and haven’t already don’t forget that you need to register your domain to be compensated for traffic driven through your site from mobile devies.
