eBay Spain introduces compulsory Gallery

No primary category set

A month after most other eBay sites announced new price structures, eBay Spain has just revealed its new tariff, effective immediately.

The biggest change is that Gallery is now included in with the listing fee for auctions and BIN listings; insertion fees have been slightly increased at the same time, so that those who were already paying for Gallery will see fees decrease, while those who were not will see fees increase. SIF listings will also have compulsory Gallery; new Store listing fees are the same as the old combined insertion and gallery fees.

Galería ampliada (Gallery Plus) has been slashed in price from 50c to 15c, and is now included in Value Pack together with listing designer and subtitle. Slideshow is free for those who have more than one eBay-hosted photo on their listing.

Though not all sellers see the necessity for so many pictures – particularly in the media categories – eBay Spain’s intention to create a site which is visually much richer and more interesting seems pretty obvious. If you’re a Spanish seller or you list on .es, please leave us your thoughts in the comments.
