Amazon UK have announced that they will be abolishing their Super Saver Delivery threshold until 10th January. UK domestic orders placed with Amazon themselves can now be delivered free of charge, independent of value. Crucially for merchants selling via the Amazon UK platform, third party sales are excluded from Super Saver Delivery offers, increasing Amazon’s advantage over the merchants who list on their site.
The announcement was made in an email to Amazon UK affiliates. At time of writing Amazon’s “help” section isn’t working correctly, but I’ll update the post with an official link as soon as it’s available.
Amazon deliveries were in the news last week too, as managers made contingency plans to continue deliveries through the national postal strike.
