Google webinars to support growth in overseas sales

Google are currently running a series of webinars, in conjunction with various partners including Royal Mail, designed to offer support and advice to small businesses who either sell, or are thinking of selling, in overseas markets. The next three focus on using mail services to grow your export business, online business to business marketplaces and selling to customers that don’t speak English.

The seminars are free to attend and run throughout October and are best suited to sellers with their own websites or those who plan to set up an ecommerce operation in the near future. With the current exchange rates UK goods are better value than ever to overseas customer and on eBay export sales from the UK are up around 30% year on year.

Using mail services to grow your export business

Research suggests that the delivery experience is second only to price in customer importance and that 96% of customers would shop again from an online retailer if they were happy with the delivery of their goods. Ensuring your customer receives their goods quickly and in good condition is particularly important when exporting as you are often competing against other companies located in the customer’s own country.
