Combine Twitter and Facebook with email marketing

No primary category set

iContact have announced an expansion to their email marketing service. You can now directly publish, schedule, and track the success of your social media marketing efforts on Facebook and Twitter, either as standalone campaigns or integrated with your email marketing strategies.

John Hayes from iContact reminded us that many online sellers already use Twitter and Facebook to drive traffic to their websites, but there is often very little strategy behind this approach. It is also time consuming and can be disruptive as sellers get absorbed into their social life and distracted from their work life.

iContact now allows users to be more organised in the planning and execution of your social media campaigns, ensuring tweets and posts are lined up with promotions, events and other campaigns without the need to be glued to your laptop or mobile device.

Scheduling your tweets and Facebook posts will be particularly useful to sellers hoping to attract buyers in different time zones or simply people who choose to burn the midnight oil at more unsociable hours.
Of course you don’t want to automate all of your tweets – you’ll still want to proactively respond to your followers and post as hoc tweets as you probably already do. Marketing tweets need to be interspersed with more casual posts.

An equally important part of iContact’s new social media tools is the ability to track the value of your marketing efforts and, perhaps for the first time, truly understand the reach of your social campaigns.
iContact’s Social Tools are currently rolling out (over the next few days) to all existing clients and are available now to all new registrations.

Don’t forget TameBay are running a competition with iContact, and if you’ve not entered there are still a few days left to be in with a chance of winning an iPad. All you need do is sign up for a free 30 day iContact account and send your first email! Full details on TameBay.

  1. There’s no doubt that email marketing works BUT in addition to the traditional email marketing (mass email) one should look at another marketing opportunity and that is the emails we all send from our corporate email addresses every day. I represent a company that has developed a solution for just those emails and thus this post.
The basic idea behind WRAPmail is to utilize the facts that all businesses have websites and employees that send emails every day. These emails can become complete marketing tools and help promote, brand, sell and cross-sell in addition to drive traffic to the website and conduct research. WRAPmail is available for free at https://www.wrapmail.com.
WRAPmail also helps search for missing children with every email sent by incorporating an optional RSS feed from the Center for Missing and Exploited Children

  2. I’ve been looking at my competition. Some of the older websites that were established in say 2000 aren’t using Facebook and they seem to have a large amount of traffic going to there websites.

And a lot of websites that were established around the same time as my website seem to have a lot of likes on Facebook but there websites are very basic.

I don’t seem to be getting a following on my Facebook page. Any suggestions?
