A year ago today we were all sitting back having enjoyed the wedding spectacle of the decade. The Royal Bride Kate had just married her Prince Charming William and they became their Royal Highnesses Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.

A year on the Royal Couple appear to be as popular as ever and to mark their first anniversary have teamed up with the UK’s leading eBay Trading Assistant, StuffUSell, to help launch a fantastic online wedding auctions, offering future brides and grooms the chance to bid on exclusive items for a fraction of the normal retail price.

  1. When I started to read this article I saw Oxfam and immediately thought Second Hand. But half way down or So I was wondering. Can I just clarify it(for others like myself who originally thought Secondhand). This material is all New and has been donated from the Designers/Suppliers.

  2. Well perhaps if it rained you might want someone else’s photos? 🙂

Yes – these lots have all been extremely generously donated by the suppliers and are brand new. In many cases they have added in things which you simply cannot buy – such as exclusive consultations and experiences in order to give the lots a little more pizzaz.

Oxfam does have a series of Bridal Shops through which they sell second-hand wedding gear all year round, but these are new items pulled together especially for this auction — the first such one that Oxfam has held on eBay.

  3. May I wish all those who buy this generously donated material a Very Happy Wedding Day and a Long and Happy Marriage. After all the monies that they will be paying will be going towards a really good cause.
