It’s always good to hear of companies doing well, and one that is growing exponentially is Pentagon Interactive who recently employed their 100th member of staff.
Laurence Guy used to be an eBay PowerSeller so he’s more than familiar with the trials and tribulations of selling online. Just three years ago in 2009 he founded Pentagon Interactive and initially intended to tailor his services for the SME market, but as eBay Enterprise Sales grew so did the need for external assistance among large brands and retailers.
From just Laurence, the company rapidly grew to 30 staff and then exploded to 100 employees due to the demand driven by retailers queuing up to sell on marketplaces. Their compelling offer is to outsource the specialised, labour intensive, non-core activities that retailers need to undertake to be successful on marketplaces such as Amazon, eBay and Play.com – to you and me that’s the listing, title optimisation, Item Specifics, catalogue matching… pretty much everything that isn’t processing and shipping the actual orders.
Whilst sellers like myself had the luxury of being unknown when I started out on eBay, brands which are household names don’t have the same freedom. They have to get it right and it has to be right the first time – any mistakes, especially visible ones such as policy infringements and feedback could damage their brand, as can failure. Pentagon Interactive have the expertise to navigate their way through the intricacies of listings, selling and managing customer communications and feed back to protect the brands.
