The latest version includes improved My eBay list access and navigation as well as an option to view bidding activity on an auction. There’s good news for sellers with as they can now add up to 12 photos when listing an item for sale using the eBay app.
For US users the app now includes an eBay Motors mobile experience, this will be added to more countries in the future so we can look forward to seeing that in the UK in the future.

100 million eBay mobile app downloads
eBay have celebrated the 100 millionth download of an eBay mobile app as well as 100 million listings posted via mobile. The first item ever purchased on eBay via a mobile was a pair of sunglasses on the 25th October 2005. Since then mobile growth has been phenomenal and the experience is now so good that it’s quicker to list a product via the mobile app than it is to use the eBay website!
eBay’s suite of apps include the main eBay app, the eBay Motors app and the eBay Fashion app as well as the RedLaser price checking app. Available in eight languages, and in more than 190 countries across the globe, eBay apps have been downloaded 25 million times in the last six months alone – making them some of most popular and successful shopping apps available.
eBay is expecting 2012 to be its most successful mobile Christmas ever, with a predicted 30% of the most popular Christmas items being sold through a smartphone. In the UK an item is purchased every second via a mobile device, the highest proportion of mobile sales compared to any other European market. Around 20% of all purchases in the UK are now made by mobile, according to data announced by eSellerPro at their annual customer conference today.
