Ellie Simmonds announces Christmas post dates

Ellie Simmonds, four-time Paralympic gold medallist is the new poster girl for Royal Mail’s Christmas campaign encouraging people to post early to avoid the Christmas rush.

Ellie announced the last posting dates today (First Class – Thursday 20 December; Second Class – Tuesday 18 December; Special Delivery – Saturday 22 December), encouraging people to post early to help Royal Mail spread the workload during its busiest time of the year.

Mike Newnham, Royal Mail’s Chief Customer Officer, added 2Christmas is the busiest time of year for Royal Mail and our customers. As we do every year, we encourage people to post early and order presents early to help us spread the workload in the run up to Christmas”.

If you’re like me everything will of course be done at the last minute, but Ellie has a point – She said “I will be posting my Christmas cards to family and friends early so that they can enjoy them for as long as possible”.

(Nice nails Ellie!)
