It’s really noticeable that there is a lot of activity out there in the courier and carriage sector. Whether it’s the increase of drop shops, competitive price changes or innovative new services.
It’s also interesting to see the development of international services and cross border trade becomes more interesting to ecommerce sellers.
That’s why this service caught my eye as an example of good price for an international service: it’s their own saver rate of £23.21 inc vat to send up to 15kg to Australia. For 20p more you can have a home collection rather than a shop drop off. But either way it’s a very attractive rate.

I’ve recently been asked for a quote to send a 2.5kg parcel to Oz and prices were £40+ so I saw this and thought if give it a go. Even for a 2.5kg parcel this service is more than £23.21 so I can’t imagine how much 15 kg would be !
My buyer didn’t want to proceed and I don’t blame him !
Cannot get anywhere near the advertised prices even if weight of item is put at 1kg. Restrictions are 15 kg maximum parcel weight and 1.2 m maximum parcel length
